If there’s one thing I still need to learn, it’s how to separate my emotions and keep them from tampering with my goals.
Having a break up? Keep giving love a chance rather than shut people out. Failing a class? Keep trying and do better next time. Feeling alone? Find a hobby that you can work on by yourself.
Sure having the time to grieve and let yourself return to who you were is good, but at a certain point enough is enough. In the end, you have to take responsibility of the time you wasted crying, moping, or feeling sorry for yourself… when you could’ve been out there making a difference in your life.
Sometimes… you just gotta say “fuck it” and get up. Stop being miserable, feeling sorry for yourself, and masking your true laziness by taking the easy way out.
Who cares if you did something wrong? Who cares if you did something you regret? It’s done with. You know there is something you should be doing. Just do it.
If you have time to whine, you have time to work.
